Today marks the third annual CIBC National Ski Day in Canada. Across the country 17 different mountain resorts offer discounted tickets or unique experiences in support of Alpine Canada and Canadian ski teams. In May 1939 George Bury and three other skiers began a 10-day exploratory trip of the Garibaldi region. This was over 20 years before Franz Wilhelmsen and GODA would begin developing Whistler Mountain for skiing.
